About The Course

All you need is a minimum of 3 years working experience in the electrical field in order to qualify. When you are ready to write electrical trade test, we are here to help you with all the necessary preparations needed to pass the test.

Inspection and Testing

Installation test - single/three phase
3 phase/ 1 phase motor test

Installation Work

Combination of steel
PVC conduit
surflex
flexible conduit
armoured cable

Fault Finding

3-phase star/delta
3-phase sequence starting
3-phase forward and reverse
1-phase forward and reverse

Motor and Starter

Auto star / delta
Two speed motor
Autotransformer

Panel Wiring

Metering (energy meters 1ph / 3ph)
Sequence starting
Load balancing
1-phase forward and reverse
3-phase forward and reverse

Course Duration:

Full Time

The preparation takes minimum 4 to 6 weeks depending on the leaner:

09:00 to 16:00 Monday - Thursday
09:00 to 14:30 Friday

Part Time

If leaners are not able to attend full time, below are the alternative times:

09:00 to 16:00 Holidays, Saturdays and Sundays
16:30 to 21:00 Monday to Friday

Enrolling Procedures

Learner must submit the below documents at Head Office (The village mall cor. Montagu & Bloem Str shop no.38 Boksburg 1459) or via email (enrollment@wamagroup.co.za):

ARPL and Trade test Exams

A leaner must book for the APRL and Trade test exams with the public or private training centres on their own and then come to us for the assistance with the preparation. We can also hlep with the information of how to book for the exams. Please click here to contact us for more information
